Los Angeles Lager
A beer inspired by the peachyness of Los Angeles, tropical and refreshing.
In my illustration class, we were tasked with branding a product that has significant meaning in our lives. For me, Los Angeles has always had a role in my life- my parents lived & met there, my sister now lives there, and I spent the summer interning for a finance company in the South Bay.
There are so many beers on the market, but I don’t like most of them. What if the branding could be fun and tell me what I should expect when tasting it? Peach. Colorful. Hazy. Cue the color scheme of oranges, pinks, and blues- just like the incredible sunsets each day over the Manhattan Beach pier.
Process
-
A beer that visually represents beachy Los Angeles. After living there & meeting locals, the color scheme is the best representation of the surfing culture. I love fruity drinks while sitting in the sand, listening to the waves, and found that I saw these colors all around me.

Real estate is hard to find and high to buy. My sister is lucky enough to have a garage in her house to park her car, which is extremely rare. I loved the irony of showing a garage.
Another part of surf culture is stickers, and decided to create them to place on street signs, walls, piers, skateboards, and cars.

How can we make Los Angeles Lager rare as well? People love to be the first to find something that is hard to find. A marketing goal is to only produce a certain amount and sell only in specific stores.
