Welcome to Design

This project was inspired by my experience in graphic design, and how little I knew about it until I became mesmerized with the idea of being able to create, erase, and edit without buying materials. Trying to find information was tough, and it seemed as though people just knew things from experience. I taught myself Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD with the help of video tutorials, but didn't have anyone I could ask for help. 

For two years, I hadn't met a single person in my design major, but I knew that other graphic designers existed.  I knew that design organizations existed, but didn't know who they were. I didn't know what graphic design even was until 4 years ago. These struggles sparked the idea to create a site that combines all three: resources, mentorship, and community aimed at high school and college students interested in graphic design. 

Through Adobe XD, I was able to create a hi-fidelity prototype that is interactive. Please feel free to click on the frame and navigate through!
